If you receive an error while releasing/renewing your IP address, follow the instructions given below:

IP conflict - IP already in use on the network

• There may be another computer on the network currently using the IP that is registered to you. To resolve this matter, contact ResTek at x2946 and we can assign you a new IP.

Could not contact DHCP server

• Check your Ethernet connection by following the 169 IP Troubleshooting instructions.
• If those instructions do not resolve the issue, contact ResTek. There may be an outage preventing your computer from contacting our server.

Error renewing adapter

• Follow the Network Settings instructions(Windows XP, Windows Vista, Mac) and make sure your Ethernet adapter is enabled.
• Run a spyware removal program. Many times SpyWare can corrupt your connection.

An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket

• Follow the instructions to use the Win Sock XPFix utility.
